Why to not shop Rt3a Motors
| Contributed by Adam on 7/1/2006 2:23:25 PM from the poor service leads to lack of business dept.
Today, Saturday July 1st, 2006, I went to Rt3a Motors in Chelmsford, Mass for a quick bike inspection. It appears that I arrived just as your shop was closing, although the doors were still wide open and there were customers inside.
The gentleman I spoke to said they were closed when I asked for a quickie inspection. I asked if he could possibly ‘do me the favor’ as a loyal customer, and that it wouldn’t take more than a minute. He said, “Absolutely not, I said we were closed.”
I have frequented this shop many times over the years, even spending the ludicrous $50 tire mounting policy (vs. the free service I get at the local racetrack). Just the other day I spent over $100 in parts and supplies.
Regardless, based upon the level of poor treatment I see that dealership provides, from this point forward I will make it a point to never shop for parts, service, let alone a new bike that I was considering nor recommend the shop to anyone in the large motorcycle community of which I am a part of.
The rude treatment I received today from an employee who was clearly too lazy to spend an extra 2 minutes to retain a loyal customer has now hurt that business and I wanted everyone to be very aware of this.

So, back in November or so, someone challenged me to a SuperMoto race down at VIR, winner taking bragging and trash talking rights, loser having to eat humble pie. We were going to do the race
'grudge match' style, both starting in our own 3rd wave with a seperate green/checkered flag.
In preparation for the upcoming VIR race weekend, I had to scramble to get the new trailer and racebike ready, so the last few days were lacking in sleep.
We headed out Thursday after work and was on the road around 8pm. Everything was going good with the new trailer, no sway at all and I was pleased with the ease at which is towed. That is
until around 2:30am when I was looking for a gas stop to fuel up and take a catnap. With my previous trailer I could go 550 miles towing, but would stop at 400 miles to refuel. At this moment I
had 350 miles and kaput--the engine died, clearly out of fuel. We're pulled over on the side over I-81 but the shoulder is narrow and my tires are just on the white line, so the big rigs are
flying by, the whole truck is shaking from the wind, kids are crying, etc. I call AAA (15 year member) only to be told they don't do diesel. I then called the 911, who patched me through to the
state police, who then contacted an emergency trucking company who came and gave me 10 gallons. Made it to the next fuel station, refilled, and went to sleep. It was now 5:45am. I guess the new
trailer is either a lot heavier or the crack in my engine head has gotten worse.
Got back on the road at 9am and continued on down, got to VIR around 5pm. Unhitched, unpacked, etc. I had a set of tires to get mounted but Dunlop was already closed down so that would have
to wait. I spent the time instead going over the bike finishing items that I didn't have time to do before to pass tech.

Had a hot, but very fun weekend.
Went up thursday for an open practice session. Steamy 90* heat, and I was on tires from April, but very good testing session. Played around with different FI maps and rearset positions. Managed to get my times down to high 17s. Haven't gone that fast since 2003.

After spending a day at a trackday on Tuesday, I was in love with the new bike. Immediately after Daytona, I sold both my 600s and 1000 and picked up a brand new 2005 Suzuki GSXR-1000 from Deep Creek Marina. The initial plan was to attend the AMA Barber event, but with my wife due to give birth in a few weeks, I figured it might be better to stay local. I had just received the bodywork the Friday before so I had no time to paint. In addition, a lot of parts weren't available yet such as fuel injection tuning modules, windscreens, spare wheels and brakes. Problem was the weekend weather was looking miserable. I taught with Penguin race school on Friday, which was also nice and mounted up a set of Dunlop race rains in preparation for the weekend.

Before I even left for Daytona, I made the decision to sell both my FX and SBK's and buy a 2005 Suzuki GSXR-1000. Well, I managed to get both sold before I even loaded the trailer up and a week later I had a brand new bike in my garage ready for race prepping.
Its been a few weeks now, and we've had time to get most of the race prep done, just waiting for a few parts and then we're off to the races.
Click here for some pics of the bike in progress The plan is to race AMA SuperStock and Superbike with it as well as select WERA and CCS events as well, looking for Suzuki money.
Also, here are a slew of 2005 Daytona event photos Enjoy!!

| Contributed by Adam on 1/10/2005 2:36:19 PM from the hoping we qualify dept.
Well, we've received official word today, and we'd like to announce that in 2005, WebCrush Racing will be competing in AMA Superbike, with our competition number being 160. We will continue to compete in F/Xtreme as well but this opportunity to race in SuperBike will provide additional track time plus a substantially higher purse to help with our costs.
We have already begun the process of prepping a 2003 Suzuki 1000 for this effort and hope that we will have what it takes to make it to the final grid.
On a side note, we will also be at select WERA rounds as well, though our competition number has not been informed yet.

Well, the masses have spoken, and it seems like everyone always likes pictures, so below are an assembly of pictures from the Daytona and VIR AMA events.
I'd also like to take this time to thank everyone who supported us in the 2004 season. With a severly seperated shoulder requiring surgery, we never thought we'd make it back to the AMA race at VIR, but we did, we finished, we had fun. See you all in 2005!
